Intensely unprofessional company. Do not work with them!
Not only did they take an inordinate amount of time to get the work done, have zero internal communication, blame shift onto other employees, show up and start pulling apart the roof … More with no appointment, ETC., but after the hellish nightmare of getting the work done, they decided to charge me a THOUSAND dollars more than we agreed to. They had sent what they claimed was an "updated agreement" that was actually documentation to ADD more money to the agreed upon cost. Sneaky and very dishonest. They treated me with the utmost disrespect when I tried to discuss it with them, and when I finally decided there was no point, that they would continue to merrily treat me like trash no matter what I did, I paid the extra bill just to be done with it. However, joy of all joys, next thing I know, I'm getting threats (calls, texts, emails) that they'll be putting a lean on my house if I don't pay them. All has been paid. Even the charges I never agreed to. More blame-shifting and belittling when I tried to talk to them abut it. Honestly so exhausted and sick of it. I just hope I never hear from them again.
RUN AWAY.

From the time we sat down with Joshua, who shared EVERYTHING - the costs, timing, the how, what and when - right through to the finished roof and gutters, it was totally smooth riding.
There were no “fine lines” to worry about, or unexpected add-ons or surprises, other than a couple of discounts. What?! Yes, discounts.
Josh was with us all the way. Always available by phone, text, email. Very thorough! Very prompt!
And the workers were amazing! They were work horses! They went above and beyond. Very efficient and professional and everyone was so helpful, friendly and nice.
Even Matt Luikart (the “M” in MAD), stopped by several times to chat and ensure everything was going to plan, while pitching in where help was needed. A wonderful man to do business with. There was a distinct connection between employer and workers. Trust and great camaraderie. A very pleasing thing to witness.
Overall, we have nothing but praise for MAD Roofing.

Disappointing experience. I'm looking to replace my roof and have been gathering quotes. MAD has very good reviews so I called them up and scheduled a time for an estimate. They never showed up. No voicemail, no text, nothing. Meanwhile, … More another roofing company with very good reviews and very good certifications showed up right on time. Thankfully there are a lot of options for roofing companies with good reviews around Salt Lake, but it's still a pain to be stood up.
Update:
MAD is trying to claim in a response that they left a voicemail. They did not. I checked, double checked, triple checked because I was very surprised. Even checked again today to see if I somehow missed something. It’s pretty upsetting to be directly contradicted on that. I was given a time range of when they would be out and I waited a half hour after the end of that period before moving on with my day. I could post a screenshot of the list of voicemails on my phone but at this point that seems pointless and it could be claimed I deleted it. -

After getting several bids, I choose Matt and Mad Roofing based on their quality of service, product, price and my feeling of confidence in Matt’s honesty and integrity. I am so delighted with the job done and the quality of the service I received. The estimate for my re-roofing project was better than I could have expected. The shingle quality and warrantee were also better than expected for the price as compared with other companies offers. Matt is a great communicator and stayed in touch before, during, and after the project was completed. The roofing crew worked together to make every move count. Photos were shown to me so that I could see what was going on with the roof without climbing a ladder (Thank goodness!). The crew used tarps to keep the debris contained and during the cleanup, they used a magnetic tool to pick up the nails and staples that were in the lawn and on the driveway. I was delighted to have the job completed in ONE DAY from tear off to cleanup just as quoted at the beginning!
